What we offer

 Mingo Homes provides support to the young people  living in our accommodation. 

Staff ensure that the individuals are valued and respected at all times and are trained to offer outstanding support to all individuals, enhances emotional, psychological, physical and social well-being, 

promote and enhance independence, empower our young people to aspire towards their future prospects.

Our young people are supported with their day to day routines, activities, independent life skills and access to the community. 

Our team works in partnership with an array of professional services as we firmly believe that it is key to supporting the individuals and assisting them in achieving  their outcomes.

Mingo Homes has adopted a person-centred nurture approach which is flexible and adaptable to the needs and desires of each young person. 

Our staff, together with residence, families and professionals, will develop individualised support plans.

All our young people receive tailored support (based on their individual needs) which provides guidance and structure for our young people to progressively develop. 

At Mingo Homes, we encourage and support our young people with :

• Educational courses- Our young people are supported to develop their communication and social skills, develop their independence through courses.

• Job opportunities.

• Travel training-  We encourage our young people, where appropriate, to engage in travel training which develops safe and independent travel skills. 

• ESOL tutoring to meet EAL needs.

We believe in keeping our young people active and engaged in tailored activities.

 Our young people are encouraged to participate in a wide range of stimulating individual and group activities - both within the home and the local community. 

We understand the link and importance of therapeutic support on mental well-being. We offer our young people access to speech and language therapy and psychotherapy therapy.

We offer mentoring service as we understand that it can help to: 

• Boost self-confidence
• Improved communication skills
• Expose our young people to new and different experiences
• Learning from other people experiences

Mingo Homes adopts a person-centered approach with an emphasis on enhancing independent life skills. 

Our Young people are encouraged to develop their knowledge and independence skills. They gain independence and life skills such as shopping, cooking, money management and budgeting.
